My Life is a Wreck

I'm sure you're wondering about my title. It's pretty self-explanatory. I'm currently drowning in the imbalances of work and life and school. And now, on top of all of that, health.

I was told recently that my Vitamin D levels were so low that it was making me sick and that I needed to bump up my B12 to increase my mood but ALSO that my blood pressure and resting heart rates were bordering hypertension. Now I am on a cocktail of pills, something that I never would have thought for myself. Earlier this year, I battled and defeated anemia but all of my other levels were fine. Or so I thought.

As a sufferer of chronic migraines, I've noticed since taking my medicines that my migraines have reduced from 4-5 a week to two really bad ones within 2 weeks. I'd say that's an improvement, right? I've looked into additional forms of treatment for these migraines and I think I've settled on one but if you guys know of any, please list them below (please also note that I'm not able to take anything with caffeine because of my medicine).

Despite all of this, I'm in a great mood. I'm in a really good place in my life. I'm graduating with my bachelors this December and hopefully starting my masters in Spring. I work for a company that genuinely appreciates me. I'm kicking butt in this semester in my classes AND I got to celebrate my one year anniversary with fiance. We went out to a fancy dinner and had the best meal. I sometimes take for granted the connection that we have. I don't know that I could ever be with someone who would be annoyed with how many times I want to go over our first date in detail (which is probably about 10 times by now). I'll have to tell you guys about our first date, though. It was pretty magical.

To sum all of this up- there really is always something to be grateful for. Even as I'm typing this, the pinched nerve in my shoulder is bugging me (yes, I'm falling apart) but I feel lucky to be able to share my stories and that someone, even if it's just one person, wants to read them. But even more than that, I'm doing this for myself. To have a diary that lives forever in the cloud.

  1. Health stuff can be so hard! I get migraines too and they can be so terrible. I usually take a sleep aid because if I can just go to sleep it will go away. Caffeine sometimes works if I get one during the day, but my mom is like you- she has to avoid all caffeine, she can't even have chocolate. Congrats on your anniversary!

  6. You have to learn to take things one step at a time. I know how you feel as you I've just gotten over the flu due to the simple fact of too much stress in my life. I took the time to review whats positive and work from there. On a good note I'm really glad you're getting bachelors and wish all of the best of luck in your future!!!

  7. I feel you way too well... I've been so stressed out that my face got filled up with acne... I'm completely unbalanced and all I want to do is eat my problems away... My back gets so tensed up that by the end of the day I 'm crying from the pain...
Hang in there! We just need to be strong and remember that we will get through this :)

  8. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on graduating! That is a huge accomplishment! I am so sorry to hear that you are going through these things. As a SAHM, my health has to be at it's best because I do so much so I totally understand! As for your B12 issue, I would recommend this product called sunrise. It has been my saving grace! I do sell it and if you are interested in what it is, I recommend researching it at https://science.kyani.com/en-us/category/sunset/kyani-sunrise. Let me know if you have any questions about it. :) I hope your weekend is much better!

  9. It cannot last for long. We all have ups and downs, but your life starts with caring about your health. Because if you do not have it or you deliberately destroying it, that will lead to no satisfaction at all. Take care of yourself and get better

  12. Whenever I feel down, I always look at all the good that's happening in my life. There's definitely so much to be thankful for, and if we think about it, we'll always find what's good in life instead of focusing on the bad.

  22. Keeping your live balanced is always going to be hard! Especially if your D and B12 levels aren't balanced. Your going to be depressed and tired all the time. If you can't get outside, your going to need to take supplements (if your not already in your cocktail of pills).
